How We  Start Our Custom Projects:1. We photograph your room(s) so we can see the room(s) as you do and show the placement of the new piece. Then questions can be asked and answered by both parties. 2. Customer provides photos/illustrations of the style showing details desired from other pieces you have in the room. 3. Measurements are taken to determine the size of the furniture for the given Space. (width, length and height ) 4. Concept: Send (1-3) pictures or a rough drawing of what you think you want to see and or the function of the piece. You should also take a few minutes to review the following links for an even better idea of what your final product should look like. For Wood and Finishes:Link 1 (woodguild.com)

Communication Makes a Successful Custom ProjectDeveloping a good verbal  relationship with your craftsman omits timely and costly errors. Here is what it takes to  understand the designing and fabrication process of a custom furniture project. The skill of communication is the key. A knowledgeable craftsman will ask poignant questions to discover your personal taste in style, shape, color, likes, dislikes, etc. There are numerous details that he/she will sort through to find out what is important to you. Going through this demanding exercise of details with your craftsman may seem tedious; however, putting cost and design in line and up front will leave less  to chance. Assumptions can lead to costly mistakes.     The approvals of defined details are transformed into shop drawings. If changes and/ or modifications thereafter, are to be made, they must be in writing to avoid any miscommunication or misinterpretation. Communication ensures a pleasant experience in a successful custom-made furniture project.     |
